Little Poetic

Beautiful Saviour

by Rhoy Pamparo on Apr.21, 2011, under Little Poetic

I love the simplicity of this song, yet, very powerful as it speaks of the truth. This Good Friday, let us not forget what Jesus had done for all in the cross of Calvary. To God be the glory!

Beautiful Saviour
By Darrell Evans

Your nail-scarred hands are beautiful.
Your nail-scarred feet are beautiful.
And by Your wounds, my wounds are healed.
Your crown of thorns is beautiful.
Your cross of scorn is beautiful.
For by Your wounds, our wounds are healed.

Beautiful Savior. Jesus, we believe.
Despised and rejected. Jesus, we receive You.

Scourged for our atonement. You endured it all.
For the glory of the Father.
We were among the ones You saw?

The Good in Dying

by Rhoy Pamparo on Apr.01, 2010, under Little Poetic

The Good in Dying

There is good in dying
Dying leads to living
The remission of sins
For our soul’s cleansing

But only the blameless
Life lived in holiness
Foretold by the prophets
Died, yet resurrected

Yes, Jesus gave his life
For you and me, despite
By His grace, we abide
Damnation, we defy

Our death is a sure thing
Our hope is only Him
In heaven we will sing
We put our trust in Him

As we remember now
Christ’s suffering and pain
Let’s lift our hands in praise
For His death, is our gain!

For Lola Eusebia

by Rhoy Pamparo on Jan.11, 2010, under Little Poetic

You let your light so shine
In life for ninety nine
Christ’s love personified

Years lived in happiness
Joy despite of sadness
You had peace deep inside

We cry and yet we smile
We mourn but look up high
We know you are with Christ

To God we give the praise
We thank Him for your days
Born, lived, and passed away

School Time Poetry

by Rhoy Pamparo on Sep.10, 2009, under Little Poetic

This is a short poem I started writing today shortly after dropping off my son Gabby to school for the first time. Just when I thought I did ok, a tear fell as soon as I completed this poem.

I did not cry, though teary-eyed
Little boy is growing, oh my
At school, right in his classroom
Wide-eyed, excited and anxious

What is next? is this too early?
Maybe I’m just older, silly!
It’s his time to face a new world
Head-strong, expectant and bold!

Congratulations Gabby!

Bleeding Red

by Rhoy Pamparo on Mar.11, 2009, under Little Poetic

Bleeding Red

I was cut and I bled green
For a moment that’s what it seems
I looked closely to be sure
‘Am glad to see, it is still red

… this is a very short poem that kinda describes what is happening with me for the past six months career-wise!
