I would try the Sparkle into the Zen. With the blend knob you can make it pretty transparent, but with some drive, then have the zen 'enhance' your tone with the amp quality.
Then again, the zen sounds good by itself, or pushing your amp. I love that thing.

hey mark, I'm still playing around with the Sparkle Drive with the Zendrive. I would definitely give a better review of this setting once I get more mileage, and maybe with audio clips, too!

Oooh, Zendrive! Such a great box. I'd like to hear it in conjunction w/ the Sparkle Drive. Audio clips?

Thanks for the tip Larry! Still experimenting, I am hovering the gain around 12-2, tone around 11-2, and voice around 10-1. I put it after the Sparkle Drive since I am kinda using it primarily to boost the signal from my Tele.

Bro! Good luck with the Zendrive. I make it the first drive after my compressor or wah, and i give it gain about 10 o'clock, volume just a touch above unity, and tone about 1, and voice about 2. The midhump works great for light leads and a nice crunch that cleans up to a sparkle with your guitar's volume knob. In fact, I like this so much I took my TS9 off the board because the Zen lets you dial in how much mids you want!

It sounds sweetest with gain about 2, very sweet, but too hard for my playing at church :)
